An Iron Axe (sometimes referred to as an iron hatchet) is an axe which requires level 1 Attack to wield. It can be made from one Iron bar at level 16 Smithing, yielding 25 Smithing experience, or purchased from Bob's Axes in Lumbridge, Gulluck and Sons in The Grand Tree, or King Lathas' Weaponry Shop in the Combat Training Camp.

Like all woodcutting axes, it can be used to cut trees by players with any Woodcutting level.
