A Bronze Wire is needed to complete the Shilo village quest. It is used on Bone Beads at level 20 Crafting to make Beads of the dead. Adding the wire to the bone beads gives the player no Crafting experience. It can be made by Smithing a bronze bar, requiring level 4 Smithing, granting 12.5 Smithing experience.

There is an unobtainable item in the game called Steel Wire.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • In the client cache files from 12 December 2002, prior to the release of Shilo Village, this item was called Runite Wire with the examine text "Useful for crafting items usually strong necklaces". This would have made the Beads of the dead's chain a bit more strong than the "Adamantite chain" securing the key around Lady Keli's neck. Instead, in the final version, the wire was changed from Runite to Bronze, a much softer metal used commonly in actual jewellery construction.
