Curse is a spell that becomes available at level 19 Magic. Using it requires 2 Water-Runes 3 Earth-Runes and 1 Body-Rune. If cast successfully it lowers your opponent's defense by 5% - it will stack if they have drank potions, but will otherwise only lower 5% below their base stat. However, if it is unsuccessfully cast, like all other spells in RuneScape Classic, you will be unable to cast any spell for 20 seconds.
When cast on another player, either in the Wilderness or a duel, they will receive the message Warning! PlayerName is shooting at you! followed by Your defense has been reduced by a curse spell![1]
