A brown apron is a piece of equipment which allows a player to access the Crafting Guild, provided that they also have 40 Crafting. Wearing it provides no armour bonus.[1] It can be purchased from Thessalia at the The Clothes Shop in Varrock square.[2]

Aprons are worn in the amulet slot in RuneScape Classic, unlike in later iterations of the game such as RuneScape 2 where they are worn in the torso slot.[3]

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
"Party aprons" during the 2001 Christmas event
  • In late 2001, around the time the compression update was being prepared, there was a graphical glitch where brown aprons appeared half-white when equipped.[4] These were called "split aprons" or "party aprons" (due to being "released" at the same time as Party Hats).
