A Bass certificate is a certificate that is obtained by exchanging five bass with Owen in Catherby or with Padik in the Fishing Guild. Bass certificates are stackable and each one can be exchanged back for bass by talking to Owen or Padik.
Because bass are not stackable and players can only trade twelve items per trade screen, they can be exchanged for certificates so that they can be traded easier and faster. However, in general, bass are not commonly traded.
