A gold bar is obtained during Family Crest from smelting the gold mined from the Pillars of Zanash dungeon. The player uses this gold bar to smith items for the Man in the Al-Kharid mine in order to receive his Crest fragment. This gold bar can be used to smith anything that regular gold bars can be used for, except for smithing Golden Bowls.
