There are 17 barrels available for the player to search in the Lumber Mill. During Gertrude's Cat, Fluffs' kittens are missing, and must be found in order to coax Fluffs into returning home. Unfortunately, the position of Fluffs's kittens is not random and there is no reason to ever search a barrel during Gertrude's Cat quest, as the kittens are not in them but instead in a crate.
