An Uncut Opal is a semiprecious gem that can be obtained either by panning at the Digsite or Mining gem rocks in Shilo Village (the quest must be completed to mine there).
It can be cut unto an opal by using a chisel on it giving 15 Crafting experience. There is a chance that you will crush the gem in the process leaving you with a Crushed Gemstone instead and giving only 3.75 Crafting experience. This item is used in the Digsite and Legends' Quests.
