Professor Oddenstein (before starting Ernest the chicken)[edit | edit source]
- Professor Oddenstein: Be careful in here
- Professor Oddenstein: Lots of dangerous equipment in here
- What do this machine do?
- Player: What does this machine do?
- Professor Oddenstein: Nothing at the moment
- Professor Oddenstein: As it's broken
- Professor Oddenstein: It's meant to be a transmutation machine
- Professor Oddenstein: It has also spent time as a time travel machine
- Professor Oddenstein: And a dramatic lightning generator
- Professor Oddenstein: And a thing for generating monsters
- Is this your house?
- Player: Is this your house?
- Professor Oddenstein: No, I'm just one of the tenants
- Professor Oddenstein: It belongs to the count
- Professor Oddenstein: Who lives in the basement
- What do this machine do?
Professor Oddenstein (after starting Ernest the chicken)[edit | edit source]
- Professor Oddenstein: Be careful in here
- Professor Oddenstein: Lots of dangerous equipment in here
- I'm looking for a guy called Ernest
- Player: I'm looking for a guy called Ernest
- Professor Oddenstein: Ah Ernest, top notch bloke
- Professor Oddenstein: He's helping me with my experiments
- Player: So you know where he is then?
- Professor Oddenstein: He's that chicken over there
- Player: Ernest is a chicken?
- Player: Are you sure?
- Professor Oddenstein: Oh he isn't normally a chicken
- Professor Oddenstein: Or at least he wasn't
- Professor Oddenstein: Until he helped me test my pouletmorph machine
- Professor Oddenstein: It was originally going to be called a transmutation machine
- Professor Oddenstein: But after testing Pouletmorph seems more appropriate
- I'm glad Veronica didn't actually get engaged to a chicken
- Player: I'm glad Veronica didn't actually get engaged to a chicken
- Professor Oddenstein: Who's Veronica?
- Player: Ernest's fiancee
- Player: She probably doesn't want to marry a chicken
- Professor Oddenstein: Ooh I dunno
- Professor Oddenstein: She could have free eggs for breakfast
- Player: I think you'd better change him back
- Professor Oddenstein: Um it's not so easy
- Professor Oddenstein: My machine is broken
- Professor Oddenstein: And the house gremlins
- Professor Oddenstein: Have run off with some vital bits
- Player: Well I can look out for them
- Professor Oddenstein: That would be a help
- Professor Oddenstein: They'll be somewhere in the manor house or its grounds
- Professor Oddenstein: The gremlins never go further than the entrance gate
- Professor Oddenstein: I'm missing the pressure gauge and a rubber tube
- Professor Oddenstein: They've also taken my oil can
- Professor Oddenstein: Which I'm going to need to get this thing started again
- (Quest checkpoint)
- Change him back this instant
- Player: Change him back this instant
- Professor Oddenstein: Um it's not so easy
- Professor Oddenstein: My machine is broken
- Professor Oddenstein: And the house gremlins

Professor Oddenstein (after returning to him with no components)[edit | edit source]
- Professor Oddenstein: Have you found anything yet?
- Player: I'm afraid I don't have any yet!
- Professor Oddenstein: I need a rubber tube, a pressure gauge and a can of oil
- Professor Oddenstein: Then your friend can stop being a chicken
Professor Oddenstein (after returning to him with some components)[edit | edit source]
- Professor Oddenstein: Have you found anything yet?
- Player: I have found some of the things you need:

- Player: I have a can of oil
- [having a pressure gauge in inventory]
- Player: I have a pressure gauge
- [having a rubber tube in inventory]
- Player: I have a rubber tube
- Professor Oddenstein: Well that's a start
- Professor Oddenstein: You still need to find
- [missing an oil can in inventory]
- Professor Oddenstein: A can of oil
- [missing a rubber tube in inventory]
- Professor Oddenstein: A rubber tube
- [missing a pressure gauge in inventory]

- Player: OK I'll try and find them
Professor Oddenstein (after returning to him with all three items)[edit | edit source]
- Professor Oddenstein: Have you found anything yet?
- Player: I have everything
- Professor Oddenstein: Give em here then
- (You give a rubber tube, a pressure gauge and a can of oil to the Professer[sic])
- (Oddenstein starts up the machine)
- (The machine hums and shakes)
- (Suddenly a ray shoots out of the machine at the chicken)
- {Follows conversation of Ernest marking quest end}
