- Player: I'm here to help the guards with their investigation
- Hobbes the Butler: How can I help?
- Who do you think is responsible?
- Player: Who do you think is responsible?
- Hobbes the Butler: Well, in my considered opinion it must be
- Hobbes the Butler: David. The man is nothing more than a bully
- Hobbes the Butler: And I happen to know that the poor Lord Sinclair
- Hobbes the Butler: and David had a massive argument about the way
- Hobbes the Butler: he treats the staff in the living room the
- Hobbes the Butler: other day. I did not intend to overhear their conversation
- Hobbes the Butler: But they were shouting so loudly I could not help but
- Hobbes the Butler: Overhear it. David definitely used the words
- Hobbes the Butler: I am going to kill you!' as well
- Hobbes the Butler: I think he should be the prime suspect.
- Hobbes the Butler: He has a nasty temper that one.
- Where were you at the time of the murder?
- Player: Where were you at the time of the murder?
- Hobbes the Butler: I was assisting the cook with the evening meal
- Hobbes the Butler: I gave Mary His Lordships dinner, and sent her
- Hobbes the Butler: to take it to him, then heard the scream as she
- Hobbes the Butler: I found the body.
- Did you hear any suspicious noises at all?
- Player: Did you hear any suspicious noises at all?
- Hobbes the Butler: how do you mean suspicious?
- Player: Any sounds of a struggle with Lord Sinclair?
- Hobbes the Butler: No, I definitely didn't hear anything like that.
- Player: How about the guard dog barking at all?
- Hobbes the Butler: You know, now you come to mention it
- Hobbes the Butler: I don't believe I did. I suppose that is
- Hobbes the Butler: Proof enough that it could not have been an
- Hobbes the Butler: intruder who is responsible.

- Player: Do you know why so much poison was bought recently?
- Hobbes the Butler: Well, I do know that Elizabeth was extremely
- Hobbes the Butler: annoyed by the mosquito nest under the fountain
- Hobbes the Butler: in the garden, and was going to do something about
- Hobbes the Butler: it. I suspect any poison she bought would have been

- Hobbes the Butler: I hate mosquitos[sic].
- Player: Yeah, so do I
- Hobbes the Butler: you'd really have to ask her though.
- Hobbes the Butler: Thank you for all your help in solving the murder
