This template should be used on GIF/GIF-derived files. To do so, add {{gif}} to the image's description page. This will also add it to Category:GIF Images.

The GIF image format alters the coloring of the image. This image is probably GIF/GIF-derived. If it is possible, please take another screen shot with a similar/identical subject, saved as a PNG file.
