Sulphuric broline is a quest item given to the player by Elena during the Biohazard quest. The player must smuggle it into the gated area in south-eastern Varrock by giving it to Hops, one of the chemist's assistants in Rimmington who will then carry it to the Dancing Donkey Inn.

Trivia

• Unlike later versions of the game, Sulphuric broline did not get destroyed upon teleporting, and actually none of the 4 items you must smuggle would get destroyed from entering combat.
• It technically was possible to smuggle Sulphuric broline into the south-eastern Varrock area yourself just by having at least two of them in your inventory; the guard would only take one. However, since Liquid Honey could not be smuggled in the same way, this would have had little use outside of skipping Hops' dialogue.
• Ethenea given to Hops will be converted to sulphuric broline when retrieved in Varrock.
