A Steel pickaxe can be bought for 500 gp from Nurmof in the Dwarven mines. It is also possible to be obtained as rare loot from a Strange Barrel, located inside the Legends caverns. It is the fourth best pickaxe available in RuneScape Classic. It requires a mining level of 6 to use.
Mining with this pickaxe, is the equivalent of clicking a rock 3 times with a Bronze pickaxe.
