Prototype dart tip

A prototype dart tip is a quest item used in Tourist Trap. It can be made by using a bronze bar on the Experimental Anvil in the Bedabin Camp. When used on a feather, it will create a Prototype Throwing Dart.

Players who fail to smith the dart tip get the following message:

"You begin experimenting in forging the weapon...
You follow the plans carefully.
And after a long time of careful work.
You waste the bronze bar through an unlucky accident."

Players who successfully smith the dart tip get the following message:

"You begin experimenting in forging the weapon...
You follow the plans carefully.
And after a long time of careful work.
You finally manage to forge a sharp, pointed...
... dart tip...
You study the technical plans even more...
You need to attach feathers to the tip to complete the weapon."

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Players do not get any bubble above their head when they are smithing this item.
  • After a player successfully makes this item, they can make more of them without anymore bronze bars being consumed.
  • Smithing this item gives no smithing xp.
  • The failing message is likely a reference to Bob Ross, a famous painter who is known for his expression "Happy accident"
