To keep RuneScape enjoyable for everyone there are some basic rules you MUST observe. If you break our rules all your characters will be banned, and all the time you have put into the game will be wasted! DONT RISK IT! We won't tolerate disruptive players in our game. Members who break these rules will have their account terminated, and NO REFUND GIVEN!

Basically we're asking you to treat the other players with respect, and not to spoil the game for the other people playing it. The same basic rules of decency apply to this game just as much as they do to real life.

THE RULES[edit | edit source]

  1. You must not use any language which may be considered by others to be offensive, racist or obscene.
  2. You must not scam or deceive other players. Lieing[sic] to other players for your own personal gain is not in the spirit of the game.
  3. Sexually-harassing, threatening, stalking, or otherwise harassing others is not only against the rules, but it's also illegal, and may result in legal action being taken against you.
  4. You must not use or attempt to use any cheats or errors which you find in our multiplayer software. Any exploits which you find must be immediately reported to Jagex.
  5. You must not attempt to use other programs in conjunction with our games to give yourself an unfair advantage at the game. You may not use any bots, macros, or autominers to control your character for you.
  6. When you are not playing the game you must log-out. You may not circumvent any of our mechanisms designed to log out inactive users automatically.
  7. Each account should only be used by ONE person. Account sharing is NOT allowed. You must not sell, transfer, share, or lend your account to anyone else. You may not accept an account which somebody else offers you.
  8. You may create more than one RuneScape account, but if you do, you may not log in more than one account at any time, and they must not interact with each other in any way. Using one account to drop objects for transfer to another of your accounts is not allowed.
