There are four levels of aggression for NPCs.

 1. Can't be attacked.
 2. Will run away when their hits gets low.
 3. Will keep attacking until death.
 4. Will attack nearby players less than or double their combat level without being provoked.

Unfortunately, updating the monster infoboxes to reflect this manually would take a long time, but it could be automated... Stormy (talk) 12:20, October 30, 2014 (UTC)

I have created Template:Aggression for conveying this information. I suspect it is possible for current monster articles to be gradually adapted using the following code:
{{#switch: {Aggressive}
| Yes = Yes
| No = No
| 3 = 3
| 2 = 2
| 1 = 1
| 0 = 0
| Unknown <small>[ edit]</small>
}}
Which should (hopefully) result in a smooth transition. I would ideally like this approved by someone before adding it to the infobox code. Stormy (talk) 12:46, October 30, 2014 (UTC)

Sounds like a good idea and relevant info. But considering quest monsters: don't they change their aggression? RSC Mith (talk) 17:29, October 30, 2014 (UTC)

The only example I can remember right now is Delrith, and iirc, the attack option stays visible, but you get a message that's something like "You have already done that quest". It's never aggressive in the Type 3 sense, I don't think. Stormy (talk) 17:52, October 30, 2014 (UTC)
I added two more, 4 and 5. They're unofficial, but taken to mean "Safe spot" (can only be attacked with ranged or magic) and "Other" (for niche cases, in case there are any). Stormy (talk) 18:16, October 30, 2014 (UTC)
