A Fire is created in the firemaking skill. To create one, drop a normal log and use a tinderbox on it. You can only light regular logs. It is possible to fail making a fire, if you do fail keep trying and eventually it will create one. You will fail less with higher Firemaking levels. The experience for burning normal logs is . Fires are similar to ranges, as they are used to cook on. Your Firemaking level will have no effect on the duration of the fire.

- Goblin settlement northwest of Observatory

- Toban's island, west of Gu'Tanoth
- Tutorial Island, by the fishing instructor
- Underground Pass
