Clay (sometimes called hard clay to distinguish it from soft clay) is an item that players can obtain with level 1 mining from a clay rock, earning 5 experience from doing so. It then can be used with a bucket of water or jug of water to make it into soft clay which can be used to train crafting making unfired objects such as an unfired pot, unfired pie dish or unfired bowl.
For a list of clay rock locations, see clay rock locations. Clay can also be gotten from level 2 and 3 archaeological sites in Digsite.
Six pieces of clay are required for Doric's Quest.
